There is a pandemic going on. I’m stuck at home so I figured I should restart the blog.
It’s April 2020 and there’s a pandemic going on. On March 23rd Gretchen Whitmer, Governor of my home state of Michigan, issued a statewide stay-at-home order to help slow the spread of the virus, with an exemption for certain critical infrastructure workers. Today she extended that order though May 15th.
Worldwide there has been 2,790,986 cases resulting in 195,920 deaths with 921,958 of those cases and 52,202 of those deaths taking place in the United States as of the time of this posting.
As a side effect of the virus the price of commodity markets have gone haywire and the nations unemployment ra the has skyrocketed to a record breaking 20.6% shattering numbers not scene since the early 1930s. It is estimated that as many as 26.5 million people have lost their job as a result of ongoing pandemic.
Current events are indescribable and the fallout will change this country in ways unimaginable.
